THE CHALLENGE

Traffic signaling systems operate on rigid static timers, causing unnecessary traffic gridlocks. Standard traffic lights are unable to prioritize critical emergency vehicles, leading to life-threatening delays for ambulances and fire trucks.

THE SOLUTION

We built IntelliSignal, integrating computer vision at intersections to map queue lengths. It calculates active density triggers and communicates via WebSockets to adjust green times. Emergency vehicles are tracked with custom bounding boxes, triggering a preemption event that immediately forces a green light sequence along their path.
